To have access to basic scientific knowledge about elderly care, evaluation and application. Elder Care shares his / her thoughts and solution suggestions on issues related to the field with experts and non-experts. Performs the dependent and independent tasks given by using the basic knowledge of elderly care. Using the basic knowledge and skills of elderly care subjects, informs the family, society and institutions, and conveys their thoughts and suggestions for solutions to problems in written and orally. . Based on the qualifications gained at the level of secondary education, it has the theoretical and practical knowledge at the basic level supported by the textbooks containing the current information in the field of aged care, application tools and other resources. Describes the importance of ethical principles and ethics committees for individuals and society. Uses basic computer programs and related technologies in the field of Elder Care. Evaluates the knowledge and skills acquired in the field of Elderly Care with a critical approach. It serves as a care for special needs groups such as children, disabled and elderly. Has enough consciousness about individual and public health, environmental protection and occupational safety. Acts and participates in quality management and processes. It is an example of society with its appearance, attitude, attitude and behavior. Using a foreign language at least at the European Language Portfolio A2 Level . Uses information and communication technologies together with computer software at the basic level of European Computer Driving License required by the Elder Care field. Elder Care acts in accordance with social, scientific, cultural and ethical values in the stages of collecting, interpreting, applying and announcing the data related to the field of care. It monitors the events on the agenda of the community and the world in the field of Elderly Care and is sensitive to developments. Works as a team member to solve unforeseen complex problems encountered in applications related to the field of Elderly Care. Has the awareness of lifelong learning. Using the basic knowledge and skills of elderly care subjects, informs the family, society and institutions, and conveys their thoughts and suggestions for solutions to problems in written and orally. Contributes to projects and activities for the social environment in which they live with a sense of social responsibility. Identifies learning needs and directs learning. Have knowledge of effective communication techniques and a level of foreign language to follow the innovations in the field. Elder Care shares his / her thoughts and solution suggestions on issues related to the field with experts and non-experts. Awareness of the necessity of lifelong learning; gain the consciousness of following developments in science and technology and renewing itself continuously.

Students are required to take one midterm and one final exam. The contribution of the mid-term exam to the success grade is 40% and the contribution of the final exam is 60%. All exams are evaluated over 100 points. There is a requirement to get at least 50 points from the semester / final exam. Notes 4 Expressed in the system. Students taking one of the letter grades AA, BA, BB, CB and CC are considered successful.

Graduates of Midwifery, Midwifery-Nursing, Nursing, Laboratory, Laboratory Technician, Health Officer, Veterinary-Laboratory, Patient and Elderly Services, Elderly Services can apply to the old care associate degree program without examination. They can be fitted if they have the required conditions.

Conditions for SuccessIn order to enroll in the program, you need to be a graduate of secondary education. Graduates of vocational high schools must graduate from the secondary education program determined by the Higher Education Institution. Students who are excluded from the specified programs can be placed in the program with OSYM exam.
Progression Paths (Relationship Type)

Graduates; Social Services and Child Protection Agency, municipalities, hospitals, nursing homes, elderly nursing homes, power houses for the elderly, day centers for the elderly, hospice (aged nursing home in the terminal period), applications for the elderly in health units, home care services, home care services they can work under the supervision of experts in places such as regulation, protected dwellings.
