Have necessary pedagogical content knowledge about science teaching. Know about the Turkish Educational System and its structure, aims, laws, regulations, and historical development in terms of the philosophy of science teaching in national and international levels. Know and acknowledge scientists who made significant contributions to science and technology, and the history of science, and understand the nature of science. Have scientific and analytical thinking about science teaching and use scientific inquiry methods and techniques in his/her classroom practice. Have basic skills in science and be able to transfer these into their daily lives. Select, design and implement appropriate teaching, instruction and assessment, methods and techniques by considering developmental characteristics of students, individual differences, and learning difficulties. Develop instructional materials about science teaching to make knowledge persistent and applicable to problems in our everyday life. Create suitable learning environments that facilitate the development of students' critical, constructive, creative thinking, and problem solving skills.
