- Lisans düzeyi yeterliliklerine dayalı olarak, ilgili program alanında bilgilerini uzmanlık düzeyinde geliştirebilme ve derinleştirebilme.
- Alanında edindiği uzmanlık düzeyindeki kuramsal ve uygulamalı bilgileri kullanabilme.
- Alanını ile ilgili karşılaşılan sorunları araştırma yöntemlerini kullanarak çözümleyebilme.
- Alanı ile ilgili uygulamalarda karşılaşılan ve öngörülemeyen karmaşık sorunların çözümü için yeni stratejik yaklaşımlar geliştirebilme ve sorumluluk alarak çözüm üretebilme.
- Alanı ile ilgili sorunların çözümlenmesini gerektiren ortamlarda liderlik yapabilme.
- Alanındaki güncel gelişmeleri ve kendi çalışmalarını, nicel ve nitel veriler ile destekleyerek, alanındaki ve alan dışındaki gruplara, yazılı, sözlü ve görsel olarak sistemli biçimde aktarabilme.
- Bir yabancı dili en az Avrupa Dil Portföyü B2 genel düzeyinde kullanarak sözlü ve yazılı iletişim kurabilmek.

-İnşaat mühendisliği lisans mezunu olmak
-Tezsiz yüksek lisans programlarına öğrenci kabulünde ALES ve Yabancı Dil puanı aranmaz.
-İnşaat mühendisliği bölümü mezunlarının çalışma alanı oldukça geniş olup; yapı mühendisliği, geoteknik mühendisliği, su mühendisliği, kıyı liman mühendisliği, ulaştırma mühendisliği,yapı malzemeleri mühendisliği ve yapım yönetimi alanlarında tasarımcı veya şantiyeci olarak çalışabilmektedir. Bölüm mezunları, kamu ve özel kurum ve kuruluşlarda görev alabilmekte veya kendi işlerini kurabilmektedir.
-Bu bölümden mezun olanlara "İnşaat Mühendisliğinde Yüksek Lisans" unvanını kazandılar ve tasarım ofisleri ile inşaat alanlarında çalışabilecekler. Kamu veya özel sektörde iş bulma imkânları da vardır.
