The student assimilate the basic knowledge, concepts, opinions and historical processes in the field of theology.The Student study on adequate level of philosophy and religious studies and theories and insights about issues in the areas of Turkish and Islamic history as well.The student is able to product solutions at the satisfaction level regarding to religious and moral problems of the contemporary society from viewpoint of the light of Islamic universal values.The student will able to have the ability to reach scientific conclusions in the areas of religion, science and philosophy by making classification, evaluation, interpretation and analyzing existing accumulation.The student can put forward critical, objective and holistic approach about contemporary developments and issues through the light of obtained information.The students use the main sources of Islam by applying scientific research methods and techniques, and use correctly the basic concepts relating to the Islamic science.The student can do some activities in terms of religious social services and religious counseling and guidance regarding to religion and religious matters.The student assimilate basic knowledge, concepts, ideas and historical processes in the field of religious studies, and have knowledge about Islamic culture and civilation at the level that he/she will able to compare to other culture and civilization.The student is able to give information to people and institutions relating to various aspects of religion and religious affairs on the relavant matters.

For each course taken at BATU, the student is given one of the letter grades defined in the table below by the instructor as the semester course grade. In order to be successful in a course, students have to get a grade of at least CC (2.0), equivalent ECTS grade E.In order to take undergraduate degree in Islamic Studies, students are supposed to complete the compulsory and elective classes all (equavelent to 240 AKTS in sum) and overall GPA of 4.00 is to be at least 2.0.

The students who are placed by Student Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM) to study at Batman University are announced on BATUs web site along with the list of the documents required for registration. The students are invited to finalize their registration process on the dates specifically defined for their programs. All the procedures related to the enrollment have to be personally completed by the students unless they do not have a valid written excuse. The registration process is implemented by Student Affairs Office. International full time students who gain the right to enroll at BATU are also announced on the web site after the evaluation of their application. They are provided with a “Letter of Acceptance” in order for them to apply for student visa and diploma equivalency. During the registration dates, the students must submit the required documents and complete the registration procedure on time. International exchange students are accepted in the framework a bilateral agreement between BATMAN UNIVERSITY and the partner university. The exchange students are enrolled to courses and carry out the procedures in the light of the terms determined in the bilateral agreement. At the end of the study period, exchange students are provided with an official transcript in which all the courses they are enrolled are listed with their ECTS grades and credits.

The graduates who have completed the Islamic Studies program are able to be assigned to high schools as teachers of religious culture and ethic and high school of İmam-Hatip as teacher of vocational classes after they take formation training classes from outside. In addition, they are able to work as religious officials (mufti, preacher, imam, muezzin, Quran Course tutorial) within the Department of Religious Affairs, and take the duty as academics in universities serve as civil servants and managers in public and private organizations.
