Knowledge: The students gain knowledge about the fundamental theories, concepts, and regulations in the fields of public administration, law, politics, local governments, urbanization and environmental issues as well as in public and private law.The students are trained about administration, law, economic and political systems and their applications, and the relationship between bureaucracy and politics. They also gain knowledge in the fields of public finance, statistics, and business management.Skills: The students gain skills to conduct research, projects and analysis at national and International levels employing the theoretical and conceptual knowledge they obtain.They gain the skills to analyse, interpret and bring solutions to political and social problems employing their knowledge on law, politics, environment, administration, and research methods and techniques.The students are equipped with skills to make programs, possible proposals and projections about problems and events with multi-dimensional perspectives.Proficiency of Independent Study and Responsibility: It trains the students to be compatible and open-minded for innovative ideas, to have responsibility, initiative and ability of analytical thought, as well as to equip them with skills for individual and collective studies.Adopting the principles of life-long learning, the students are equipped with knowledge on basic computer programs, information technologies and systems about public administration, and the skills to follow innovations in this field and to use effectively these knowledge and skills.Learning Proficiency: The students gain the ability to make research about subjects of public administration, law, politics, sociology, urbanization and environmental issues, personal systems, political institutions, civil society, public relations, human resources and development, to follow and analyse theoretical and practical innovations in theories and applications.Communication and Social Proficiency: The students gain the skills to perfectly use Turkish in oral and written communication, to Express oneself properly, and read, understand and use at least one foreign language.Special Competence in the Field: The students gain the potential and skills to improve themselves in career fields in public administration such as district governor, judge in administrative court, inspector, supervisor and co-specialist.The students gain the special competence to be employed at various levels of administration and inspection in public organizations and institutions, political institutions, private sector and non-governmental organizations (NGOs).The students gain knowledge on laws and regulations, the principles of occupational and scientific ethics, and gain the ability to follow the changes in laws and regulations, and to interpret these changes for public administration.

The students are subjected to various evaluation methods such as exam(s), homework, project(s), practice(s) and final exam. The evaluation methods include: written exam(s), true-false test(s), short-answered test(s), multiple-choice test(s), oral exam(s), homework, project(s), designs(s), portfolio, and performance duties (application/laboratory/workshop/field work/seminar/presentation/term paper/dissertation). This part is explained in detail on the introduction and application form of the course. The midterm and final exams represent 40% and 60% of the final grade. All exams are worth of 100 points. A student obtaining one of the grades (AA, BA, BB, CB, CC, G, and B) are considered successful. In addition, students with CD or DD graded courses are considered successful only if they had a yearly GPA over 2.00 in the given year. To enter exams (midterm or final exams) students must meet following requirements that are specifically outlined in “Mustafa Kemal University regulation for vocational and undergraduate education and examination”. These requirements are: a) Enrollment for the course in question, b) At least 70% attendance of the course, c) At least 80% attendance of the practices in the course, d) Successfully completing practical projects. Other matters related to learning and exams are given in “Mustafa Kemal University regulation for vocational and undergraduate education and examination”. The students are obliged to successfully pass all the required and elective courses in each term, and complete 240 ECTS credits. 2. Students must achieve a GPA 2.00 out of 4.00.

1.Original documents or their copies officially approved by the university should be accepted for registration. The procedures for military service and criminal records are based on the candidate’s declarations. Identity Number or Official Copy of the Identity Card Approved by the University 6.No registration in any other Higher Education Institution 7.The acceptance of foreign and exchange (Erasmus and Farabi) students, intra-university and inter-university transfers of students, or other ways of acceptance of students are determined in accordance with the related regulations.

The graduates have opportunities to be employed in various levels of administrative, executive and inspection units of public organizations and bureaucracy, political institutions, private sector and non-governmental organizations (NGOs). They may also be employed as judges in administrative courts and academic posts in the relevant departments of universities.
